„Moin“ and welcome to Werner Sobek Hamburg!
For 30 years we have been involved as planners in the design of projects in the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, from the roofing of the Rothenbaum Stadium to wharfs bridges in the Speicherstadt and the trade fair centre to many different projects in HafenCity and throughout the city. On this page we would like to provide a brief overview of us and our projects. Our Hamburg office has been in the centre of the most beautiful city in the world since 2019.
As Hamburgers, we can of course say with absolute certainty that it is the most beautiful city in the world. We are constantly working on bringing this fact to the attention of the last recalcitrant colleagues at other locations, and in return we are willing to compromise with regard to the assessment of the local weather. Due to our steadily growing team at the site, we have already moved from Pacific Haus to Scandinavia Haus, which is a much better geographical fit anyway.
Our services mainly include structural and facade engineering, always with sustainability and design in mind.
For a long time now, I have been drawn from the banking metropolis of Frankfurt to Hamburg in the north. With the start of 2023, the city on the Alster is now my new center of life, making a long-awaited dream come true.
We look forward to your visit for a chat over our excellent barista coffee.
Yours, Boris Niels Heyer
Director of Werner Sobek Hamburg
Focus: HafenCity Hamburg
The HafenCity in particular is currently home to a large number of construction projects for which Werner Sobek is responsible for specialist planning services. Our services range from ephemeral projects such as temporary light sculptures and filigree roof structures to Europe’s largest enclosed floating dock…
