Jewellery Museum

The objective when renovating this listed building was to convert what was to date the town’s local library into a jewellery museum. From a structural point of view this not was not just a matter of enhancing the building envelope; it also meant adapting the facade to meet very stringent security requirements. Werner Sobek was commissioned with the structural and facade egnineering for this beautiful project.

In addition to the aesthetic aspects, the facade was also adapted to the very high safety requirements associated with the new use. Besides to the facade elements made of structural concrete, the roof made of concrete was also renovated.
