The Brick 2.0 in Frankfurt am Main

The Brick 2.0

Standing at an approximate height of 26 m, the building features a shared underground parking garage and six aboveground storeys with an additional service floor on top. Due to the high water table at the site, the structure’s floor slab is only 35 cm thick. Loads from the building are transferred directly to the ground via piles located beneath the project’s structural supports. Overall, ‘The Brick’ forms part of the ‘Boulevard Mitte’ quarter of Frankfurt’s new Europaviertel development. The urban planning concept for the area of this emerging district known as ‘Europaviertel West’ is based on the idea of the ‘city within the city’. A complete 3D model of the building was created using Revit.
