Following plans by Werner Sobek, a private underground garage and a terrace – the latter of which can also be used as an outdoor swimming pool – were built on the premises of an historically listed Stuttgart villa dating from 1921. The mid-section of the new terrace is equipped with a sinking floor. This allows the exterior area to be used either as a level terrace space – or as a swimming pool. A freestanding shower is located on the non-mobile part of the terrace. The underground garage and its corresponding driveway were integrated as unobtrusively as possible into the park-like grounds.
