DC Tower 1
Together with the Viennese architectural firm Hoffmann & Janz, the French architect Dominique Perrault designed an ensemble of two high-rise buildings on the edge of the Danube in the heart of Vienna’s new business districts. Werner Sobek was responsible for the structural engineering as well as the facade and height access planning for this extensive project.
High-Rise Ensemble on the Danube
The first tower (DC Tower 1) was completed in 2013 with a height of 220 m, the second (not yet built) tower is to be 168 m high. The roof surface of DC Tower 1 is inclined by approx. 7°, it is founded on a civil engineering structure that serves as an underground car park.
