Rothenbaum Stadium

The roof of the Rothenbaum Center Court in Hamburg/Germany covers spectators’ stands and playing arena in a free span of c. 102 metres. The roof structure, which is based on the spoked wheel, comprises a permanently covered outer area as well as a convertible inner area of approximately 63 m diameter, which represents an opening roof area of 3000 m². The inner roof can be opened or closed within a few minutes without interfering with the match in progress.
