IBP Fraunhofer Institute Holzkirchen

In Valley near Holzkirchen in Bavaria, Deubzer Köng Architekten planned a three-storey office and laboratory building for the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics IBP. Werner Sobek was responsible for the structural engineering and thermal building physics.

More Space for Indoor Climate Research

In the new test rooms, the comfort and performance of people in rooms and the effects of dynamic climate parameters such as surface temperature, air temperature, humidity and air quality on the working and living environment are investigated. In the new HiPIE laboratory (High Performance Indoor Environment), facilities and systems for the individual climate control of room zones can be tested and optimised under any simulated conditions.
