As part of the festivities celebrating the 50th anniversary of the creation of the Federal State of Baden-Württemberg, an exhibition presenting sustainable and innovative technologies for the future was held in Stuttgart in the summer of 2002. The latest developments originating in Baden-Württemberg and forming part of everyday life such as living, mobility, production, were on show.
The exhibition themes were housed in three organic spaces which appeared to be suspended within an open frame. These spaces were arranged on different levels, linked within the frame by ramps and differed from each other in shape and size. A membrane structure divided by semi-transparent sections formed the translucent envelope of the various exhibition spaces.
The frame surrounding the spaces was not only a complex structure but also an essential design element of the exhibition.
