ADNOC Tower

Sustainability criteria played an essential role in the planning of the ADNOC Tower in Abu Dhabi. The target for the planners was therefore LEED Gold certification. Werner Sobek therefore developed a combination of active and passive sustainability strategies.

Target for the Planners: LEED Gold Certification

A frame around the main tower blocks solar radiation to the east and west. Thus, the north facade could be completely glazed. Photovoltaic elements are located on the south facade.

The ADNOC Tower in Abu Dhabi symbolises the importance of the client in the oil industry. The building has a total of 74 storeys and offers 136,900 m² of office space. With a height of 335 m, the tower is the second tallest building in Abu Dhabi.
