A Supporting Structure for Art
Werner Sobek traditionally stands for purist design, innovation and sustainability. We plan even the most complex load-bearing structures, realise highly transparent glass facades on high-rise buildings and earthquake-proof hospitals.
And we have been supporting artists in the structural realisation of their works for many years. For over a decade, we worked closely with the Stuttgart-based artist rosalie, who died in 2017, to realise her fantastic works. In New York, we planned the supporting structure for the sculpture “Fallen Sky” by the up-and-coming artist Sarah Sze and for the international open-air exhibition “Desert X” in Saudi Arabia, Werner Sobek planned their artistic contributions together with Zeinab AlHasehmi, Dana Awartani and Stephanie Deumer.
