SSB Station
This prototype for new streetcar stations was developed for Stuttgart’s SSB as part of a study. It is characterised by its modular construction enabling a simple adaption to different requirements. The waiting area is covered with a weather proofing coat. A clear-cut rectangular block, visible from a great distance, combines the technical, informative and functional equipment in one compact structure. All profiles and glass panes have a simple geometry and can thus be replaced easily. In order to reduce additional costs the module patterns were adapted to the structure of the foundation. Digital and analogue displays, advertising panels, handrails, dustbins, loudspeakers and illumination are matched to each other and complement each other perfectly in form and content.
