Generationenhaus Holländergarten

Generationenhaus Holländergarten is a new residential development that provides affordable accommodation for people of all ages and walks of life in the Reinickendorf borough of Berlin. Our engineering team at IFT were responsible for checking the project’s structural plans and supervising the construction site as part of the checking engineering process. Owned by a housing cooperative, the development’s two buildings contain a total of 43 rental apartments and feature numerous stylistic nods to Genossenschaftssiedlung Schillerpark — the nearby cooperative housing estate from the 1920s that was designed by architect Bruno Taut.

Carbon Neutral Living for People of All Ages

Each apartment comes with a generous terrace or inset balcony that gives tenants the space to grow their own plants. The development is also entirely powered by renewable energy to help residents live a carbon-neutral lifestyle.
