Complex Structure, Short Distances

The pedestrian bridge designed and planned by Werner Sobek was officially opened in Aalen in mid-November 2023. The structure in the birthplace of our company founder connects the railway station with a new city quarter and thus makes a significant contribution to the development of the “city of short distances”. At the opening ceremony, Aalen’s Lord Mayor Frederick Brütting emphasised appreciatively that the complex structure “…goes to the limits of what is technically possible in terms of statics and span” – many thanks for this praise!
