P&C Lübeck

A new commercial building was constructed on the market square in Lübeck in the immediate vicinity of the historically significant buildings. It was to be carefully integrated into the city centre, which is under UNESCO protection. The roof is therefore of great importance.

Modern Roof Corresponds with UNESCO Protection

It consists of 16 reinforced concrete shells with a thickness of 14 cm and a trapezoidal ground plan. They are arranged in alternating directions. Their respective span width is 8.75 m in the transverse direction and up to 28 m in the longitudinal direction.

Werner Sobek was responsible for the structural engineering of this demanding project.
