The Tide Quartier Elbbrücken in Hamburg

Digital City Quarter for Hamburg

The innovative building ensemble The Tide – Quartier Elbbrücken is being built on an area of 76,000 m² in the eastern HafenCity Hamburg. The forward-looking range of uses includes the Digital Art Museum by Xing founder Lars Hinrich, which will showcase art by the international artist collective “teamLab“. In addition to rental and owner-occupied flats, there will be an internationally subsidised student residence at affordable rents, a day-care centre for children and space for business and gastronomy. Werner Sobek was responsible for the HafenCity eco-label certification and sustainability consulting. The designs are by architects Atelier Kempe Thill from Rotterdam, Diener & Diener Architekten from Basel, Heide & von Beckerath from Berlin, KPW Papay Warncke und Partner Architekten from Hamburg and blauraum Architekten also from Hamburg.
