Senior Engineer (Structures) (m/f/x)

Werner Sobek New York is seeking a Structural Engineer with 3-5 years’ experience to work closely within the Structures team at their Hudson Square office. Projects have a vast range in scale, detail and complexity, and the position requires being able to work on multiple projects at a time, at both technical and aesthetic levels. The job tasks will range from conceptualizing structural schemes, to drafting technical construction details, to assisting with specifications writing and visiting construction sites and preparing technical reports (everything under supervision). Knowledge and experience working with Local and National Codes is required (exposure to Eurocodes ideal but not required). Work experience on projects in concrete and steel is required (Timber, glass is a plus). This position will require frequent interaction with clients and contractors, and so good written and spoken communication skills are absolutely necessary.

Applicants must possess a minimum of 3 years of structural engineering experience on US projects (experience on specialty structures is a plus). A degree in structural engineering is required. Applicants must have knowledge and experience of AutoCAD and Revit. Only applicants with the requisite experience, skills, and interest should apply.
