Abandon Combustion Processes for Energy Production

We Must Finally Abandon Combustion Processes for Energy Production!

Until today, the main share of primary energy demand is generated from fossil sources and wood. The use of buildings causes about 30 % of the world’s final energy consumption. The production and demolition of buildings, in turn, cause (at least) an equally large share, which has, however, received little attention so far.

What exactly this means and what this action inevitably leads to is explained very clearly by Werner Sobek in the first volume of his trilogy “non nobis”. The book is a worldwide survey of current practices in construction that directly affect our built and natural environment. And it shows what a massive impact the way we build has on it.
