The Term “Renewable” Energy is Misleading

Werner Sobek calls for precise, generally understandable language as a prerequisite for interdisciplinary communication. Terms like “renewable” energy are unsuitable because this is impossible per se. The formulation “We must avoid emitting CO₂ into the atmosphere”, on the other hand, is a generally understandable fact.

Until the end of October 2022, the Architekturzentrum in the Stadtmuseum Düsseldorf is showing the exhibition “Werner Sobek: 17 Theses”. It deals with the ecological impact and responsibility of the building industry.
