Grand Opening National Museum of Qatar
The new National Museum of Qatar, located across from the Corniche in the Qatari capital Doha, opened to the public on 28 March 2019. The building was designed by architect Jean Nouvel. Werner Sobek was in charge of consulting, site supervision and interface management for the highly complex building envelope. As part of our servcies we provided full engineering and 3D detailed design and fabrication design for the secondary structure, parts of the primary steel structure and the 3D FRC panels fixings.
