Dr Matthias Förch, head of Werner Sobek Hamburg, wrote his dissertation at HafenCity University Hamburg on the subject of “Glass strength under impact and explosion stress”. The International Journal of Structural Glass and Advanced Materials Research presented this work with an award in the “Best Paper” category in January 2021.
