A high-rise structure that was previously used as an administrative building by Union Investment is currently being converted into a residential tower block as part of the ‘Riverpark’ development project. The structure is undergoing a complex programme of complete modification and modernisation that requires a sequence of demanding demolition and construction procedures. The lower five storeys will be given over to serviced apartments that will open for business in 2022. Guests will access these 100 units via a private entrance with a lobby, a lounge and a breakfast room. The upper 18 floors will include around 130 freehold apartments. Standing at a height of 98 m, the 23-storey tower will also be accompanied by two new structures: one building with 30 subsidised apartments and another containing private residences known as ‘Riverpark Suites’. One of these buildings will feature a vertical garden on the nearest wall facing the tower. All three structures will be interconnected via a shared underground parking garage.
