Sustainable and Resource-Saving

The new volume “Wood Hybrid Construction – Mixed Construction Methods as Carbon Storage” in the CRADLE book series is dedicated to this climate-friendly building material. The foreword to the book sheds light on the topic from an engineer’s perspective. It was written by our colleagues Thivya Athmanathan and Roland Bechmann, both proven specialists in the field of hybrid timber construction.

Over 240 pages, the book presents 50 projects in which timber has been skilfully combined with other materials such as concrete, stone and steel.
