Living Spaces for the Future Society
The design of the Uzbekistan Pavilion for Expo 2025 in Osaka (Japan) was created by the renowned Stuttgart-based Atelier Brückner. We are particularly proud to have been commissioned with the structural engineering for the unique triangular roof structure.
The main theme of Expo 2025 is “Designing Future Society for Our Lives”, with the sub-theme “Connecting Live Zones”. The design of the Uzbekistan pavilion interprets this in a successful way by combining progressive architecture with a nod to centuries-old heritage and culture.
Most recently, our office designed and planned the extensive shading systems over the connecting paths of the Expo site in Dubai in 2020. In addition, we were responsible for the structural engineering of the rotating glass viewing platform “Sky Garden” in Dubai, based on a design by the London-based architectural firm Asif Khan.
