Innovative and Sustainable: This Facade Sets New Standards.
With the design of the Wasl Tower, our office has not only contributed to the creation of a striking addition to the Dubai skyline – at 300 metres, the ceramic facade of the Tower is also one of the highest in the world.
The special shape of the building makes it a very special landmark. Besides, the rotating geometry reduces wind loads and saves on building materials. The facade is furthermore designed to minimise solar gain without compromising transparency.
In addition to the facade engineering, Werner Sobek was also responsible for the structural engineering and BIM coordination.
